I came out of lurking a week or so back to mention how much I could relate to the need for new yarn on particularly difficult days. Well, I'm doing it again! The podcast and your most recent blog entries were as always fantastic. Bravo to you for the way you handled that particularly stressful situation with the fiber bug who is apparently allergic to improper grammar. The world needs more people like you! PS - I am no longer anonymous...I started a blog.. woohoo! PPS - Can't wait for the next episode! :)

Hi Marly! Thanks for all the comments on my blog! Thought I'd return the favour!

I just listened to your podcast and I really enjoyed it. I'm so sorry to hear about the grammar nazi and her hurtful comments. I'm an English teacher (ESL not English literature etc) so I'm always conscious of what other people say and write but there are certain more helpful ways to point this things out. I know for students who are learning English if you cut them down when they make a mistake they will never learn and it really makes them quite depressed about their language abilities.

Also - bring on the Cro-Knit night!

I'm starting up a small Sit 'n stitch in my apartment block! (we are all students at the same college.)

Hi there. I just wanted to say that I really like your podcast and it's quickly becoming one of my favorites. I'm sorry that lady was mean to you.

Marly,
It is such a shame that you have received a public slam. I've heard of this on other blogs where someone has commented negatively in private in a really hurtful way, but not out there for everyone to see. Most people will see that she has a problem, not you. Chalk it up to the fact that there are some really mean and unhappy people out there.
Your podcasts are so much fun and you have so much enthusiasm! Thanks for taking the time to share them with all of us.
